Cambodia Golf Today Issue 16: May – June 2017

Welcome back to the 16th edition of Cambodia Golf Today, the leading golf magazine in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

We’ve got some exciting news for you from Koh Kong as the second course at Dara Sakor Seashore Resort was just recently finished. Immediately without wasting any time, we went straight down to test out what the new course has to offer and it is definitely worth the trip. We’ve got to tell you, this is one of the most challenging courses in Cambodia yet. The design and setting of the course is one of a kind and the beauty of the surrounding nature just adds to the experience even more. However, be warned of the course’s tendency to swallow up your balls and if you think that you have brought enought with you, We suggest you grab a couple more sleeves.

Just before the Khmer New Year, Angkor Golf Resort played host to the Samdech Techo Prime Minister Cup 2017. The event had some of the most high profile individuals in Cambodia participating with Samdech Akeak Moha Sena Padey Techo Hun Sen, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia himself also playing. Everything was made possible thanks to the Cambodia Golf Federation who put in quite a bit of time and effort to organize the event.

And speaking of the CGF, after promising to bring a recognized handicap system to the Kingdom, they finally made good on that promise as the announcement came in March. Read the article inside to find out more.
