Welcome back to the 21st edition of Cambodia Golf Today, the leading golf magazine in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
At this point, I know some of you are probably sick of me talking about Tiger Woods by now. Still, how can you not talk about the man? His first two events in 2018 were a bit underwhelming to say the least, but man, he really turned things around after that. Tiger was actually in contention to win an event (the Valspar Championship) which is something that hasn’t happened in four years! He went and follow that up with another top 5 finish as well at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. If that doesn’t get you fired up, I don’t know what does. It’s going be interesting to see how well Tiger does for the rest of the season.
The Cambodia Golf Federation held another national team qualifying tournament earlier in February. The announcement was quite sudden as players were notified only a few days before the actual competition. Alan Martin, PGA Head Professional of Angkor Golf Resort, will be taking on the role of the national team head coach this year. We’re excited to see how he’s going to help the team improve and produce results in the 2018 Asian Game in Indonesia.
The governing bodies of golf, the R&A and the USGA, released the final version of the new golf rules earlier in late March which will take effect immediately from January 1st, 2019. The process that took seven years to complete will see the biggest changes to the rules of golf in decades. Read the article inside to find out the changes.
Lastly, enjoy reading Cambodia Golf Today and please tell us what you think of the magazine through the contact page of this website.
Until next time, keep driving straight!
