Cambodia Golf Today Issue 9: March – April 2016

Welcome back to the 9th edition of Cambodia Golf Today, the leading golf magazine in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

A lot has happened in the past three months and we would like to start off by congratulating our good friends Fabrice Ho for his new role as the new Golf Operations Manager of Phokeethra Country Club and David Baron for earning his Advanced PGA Professional Certification. They both definitely deserve it.

Angkor Golf Resort’s Junior Academy Initiative has finally begun phase three. Initially with over 250 Cambodian youths participating in the program, we are now down to only eight boys and four girls. For the next six months, the twelve candidates will continue to train under Angkor Golf Resort’s Head Pro, Alan Martin, to prepare for the next phase where only four of them will make it through.

Master Coach Albert Valentine is back with another article in the mental tips series. The topic this will be about “Focus” and how it can help you succeed in golf and in life.

We also feature Hanoi as your next golf getaway with three beautiful courses on offer in the northern capital of Vietnam. A lively city and not too far; thus, it is the perfect getaway destination from Cambodia for a couple days of golf in Hanoi.

With this issue, we make a start to diversify the magazine a bit more with the lifestyle section featuring BMW, Heineken and V Club, a new high end club for a great night out in Phnom Penh. There will be more surprises coming in the next issue.

Enjoy reading Cambodia Golf Today and please tell us what you think of the magazine through the contact page of this website.

Until next time, keep hitting them straight!
