The cruise takes you from the temples of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), the largest city in Vietnam or vice versa.
1. Siem Reap
Before boarding the RV Toum Teav you stay 3 nights at a luxury 5 star hotel in Siem Reap where we visit the famous temples of the World Heritage Angkor Wat temple complex. Siem Reap is also the first golf destination of this journey with rounds of golf at the Phokeethra Country Club and Angkor Golf Resort; Cambodia`s award winning golf course designed by Sir Nick Faldo.
2. Kampong Tralach
After breakfast on board while navigating, we arrive at Kampong Tralach. Here we visit the wonderful Vihara belonging to the Wat Kampong Tralach Leu pagoda. To get to it we cross Kampong Tralach Krom Village along a small road perpendicular to the river, crossing beautiful stretches of emerald rice paddies while riding an ox cart. Standing by itself in the middle of the rice fields, it is a modest pagoda that receives few visitors.
3. Phnom Penh
The capital of Phnom Penh where 2 rounds of golf are scheduled at Garden City Golf Club and the Nicklaus designed Grand Phnom Penh Golf Club, a members only club. In Phnom Penh we visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and visit the infamous Killing Fields to get a deeper understanding of Cambodia`s dark history.
4. Chau Doc
In Chao Doc we aboard a local small boat to visit see the fish raising rafts and the Cham minority village. We visit the local Chau Doc market and on the way to the Sam Mountain which peaks at 237 meters, we visit the Lady Xu temple and Tay An Pagoda. The Sam Mountain offers an unobstructed view over the mosaic of glistening rice paddies below. To the left is Cambodia, the flow of the Mekong on the horizon breaks into an infinity of silver ribbons.
5. My Tho
My Tho, on the banks of a northern arm of the Mekong, is a quiet, prosperous city of about 100,000 inhabitants, famous for its many fruit orchards, gardens and the huge rice fields that surround it. Local boats are coming alongside Toum Tiou to pick up passengers and transfer to the mainland for a short panoramic tour of My Tho town , and a quick stop at the My Tho market.
6. Ho Chi Minh City
The final destination of this journey, Ho Chi Minh City. Here you will disembark the Toum Teav and stay in a luxury resort for 2 nights. In Ho Chi Minh City we will enjoy rounds of golf at the Long Thanh Golf Club and at the exclusive members only club of Twin Doves Golf Club before ending this 12 days, 11 night journey that brought you over the mighty Mekong river from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City.
