On a beautiful afternoon in March, Lighthouse Club Cambodia organized their 4th Annual Golf Day at Garden City Golf Club. A total of 60 players (including some non-golfers) from different backgrounds competed in this Lighthouse Charity Golf Day 2018.
Before the event with a 2 player team scramble format started, the event speeches were given and a lunch box was provided to the players. The course was in outstanding condition and there were a few holes with something extra. Hole #12 where the hole sponsor, Ripple Effect, matched any donation to the Lighthouse from players that hit their tee shot into the lake.
The event was foremost a fun afternoon with little feel of competition to it, exactly what such charity event should be. Nonetheless there were prizes up for grabs so the players finished their round and freshened up before they made their way to the restaurant for the event prizes and raffle.
The winning team of Lighthouse Charity Golf Day 2018 was Hengky Omar and Christopher Martin. Longest drive went to Alan Beaver who also won nearest to the pin on 3. Nelson Yapiter shot nearest to the pin on 7. Andrew Higgins`s tee shot on hole #6 won closest to the line.
We would like to compliment the organization with the event. Having the biggest turn out in Lighthouse Golf Days thus far and with every hole sponsored, a lot of work had been put in its organization. Also for the players all was well thought of with a sponsored bus arranged taking the players to the course and afterwards back to the Exchange restaurant for the prize ceremony. We are looking forward to your next Golf Day.
